The Stand is built to keep your data yours. This page explains what we do — and mostly don't — collect.
The Stand runs entirely on your own Mac. Your library, lessons, notes, recordings and settings are stored locally on your computer. There is no account to create, no cloud sync, and no analytics or tracking inside the app. We never see your library or how you use it.
The only time the app connects to the internet is when you choose to import new content from a URL. That request goes directly from your Mac to the source you're importing from; it doesn't pass through us.
This website is a static marketing page. If you sign up for the Music Collection OS newsletter, your email address is sent to Buttondown, the email service we use to send it. We use your address only to send that newsletter, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. See Buttondown's own privacy policy for how they handle data.
Purchases of The Stand are handled by Gumroad, our payment provider. Your payment details are entered on Gumroad and processed by them — we never receive or store your card information. Gumroad's privacy policy governs that transaction.
Questions about privacy, or a request relating to your data? Email [email protected] and we'll help.
